Jason Zeiler – Development Director

While working for a local tech startup shortly after graduating University, Jason realized the tech community was something he truly wanted to invest his time into. After finishing their contract, he jumped right into the action with Startup Calgary.  Since then, he has been busy working with the Alberta’s top tech startups, executives and students to build and foster growth in Alberta’s tech sector by creating meaningful content for the tech community. Jason tackles the building, organizing and execution of Startup Calgary’s programs and events. He holds a Diploma from SAIT in Automated Systems Engineering Technology and a Business Degree (Marketing) from Mount Royal University.

Sean Collins – VP Partnerships

Sean is deeply passionate about both the technology and energy ecosystems . Having completed a Marketing degree from the U of A, Sean quickly jumped into his first startup, PlanHero, with close friends from university. Shortly after joining the tech ecosystem in Alberta, Sean was tasked with building and growing AccelerateAB, which has quickly become the single largest startup tech event in the province. With a  deep skill set in event management, community building and fundraising, Sean has been brought onto the Startup Calgary team to help build a focused, resourced and vibrant organization.
