We thought it would be useful to gather a list of funding sources that all startups should be aware of and can take advantage of. This list is in no way complete, but it is a start!

IRAP also has a program designed to contribute 80% or up to $30K towards hiring a new grad that will perform technical work (software dev, etc.).
They provide project funding that is a non repayable 50% match for technology innovation.
Furthermore, IRAP also has a program that contributes up to $99,999K towards the implementation of office automation software (such as SAP, Salesforce, etc.). This program is great for companies selling this type of software systems as it will reduce the cost of the project for their clients.

SR&ED. This can be a refundable tax credit (the company doesn’t have to be in a taxable position to receive the money) of up to 68% of eligible salaries.
